ALL WAS WELL

It always seems impossible until it is done.

As I reflect on the last quarter of junior high school, I can't help but feel a mix of emotions. The 4 years as a STE student have been a crucial time of growth, learning, and self-discovery. This quarter, has been both challenging and rewarding. I've navigated the ups and downs of my personal life, and discovered more about myself—my strengths and weaknesses.

One of the challenges this quarter is that we don't have enough class time. Cramming all the outputs and performances isn't easy. But despite the circumstances I've experienced, I know I did it and gave it my all. I used this quarter as motivation for my next initiatives. I know that every obstacle we face provides a chance for growth as individuals.

I have a hard time writing this blog post, knowing that this will be the last blog. Time passes quickly. It feels like just yesterday I was questioning myself about whether SSC was the right path for me. At first, I had a hard time adjusting to the new environment, but as time goes by I feel so comfortable talking and laughing with them. Through enjoying my high school journey, I've expanded my horizons and gained a deeper understanding of the world around me.

Thank you so much, Special Science Class >.<

A Decade From Now

Honestly, I always feel pressured when I think about my future and worry if that future will turn out the way I wanted or if it will take a different path. The thought of failing is draining, but I need to continue and plan my future, making sure I'll be successful, because I don't want to disappoint those who are leaning and rooting for me.

Growing up, I've always wanted to be a Psychiatrist because I wanted to help people. But there's too many “what if's” in my mind. What if I fail in life? What if my dreams will take me to a completely different path? But I know I can use these thoughts as stepping stones towards success rather than seeing them as inaccessible barriers, understanding that every setback offers priceless knowledge and insights that might push me on the right path.

It's hard to see myself in ten years, but I hope I'll be living a life filled with purpose and fulfillment, thriving in a dream that I really wanted since then. I hope, in a decide, I'll be a successful psychiatrist, fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine. It's scary, but I know I will do anything and everything to achieve this goal. I'll keep moving forward, even if the road won't be easy. I'll keep holding onto my dreams, no matter how tough life will be.

The Heartbeat of Our Lives

A beloved tradition with deep roots in Filipino culture and values is Mother's Day. Like many other nations around the world, it is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. To highlight the value of motherhood in Filipino culture, the celebration in the Philippines celebrates all maternal figures, including godmothers, aunts, and grandmothers, in addition to biological moms.

In order to celebrate their mothers or other maternal figures on Mother's Day, Filipinos traditionally express sincere gratitude and affection. During special dinners or outings, families frequently get together to show their love and gratitude for one another by presenting presents, cards, or flowers. Frequently, handwritten letters or poems expressing love and respect for all that mothers do follow these gifts.

Additionally, Filipino communities often plan unique occasions and events as a way to celebrate moms as a group. Churches can commemorate motherhood with special Masses or services, and community centres and schools can honour motherhood with competitions, performances, and concerts. These gatherings offer a chance for people to come together and honour the women who have had a positive impact on their lives, as well as a reminder of the essential role mothers play in forming families and communities.

All things considered, Mother's Day in the Philippines is a lovely celebration that honours the unselfish love, sacrifice, and unwavering support of moms and other maternal figures—embodiments that represent the Filipino values of respect, family, and thankfulness.

Change Begins Within Ourselves

Many people find great satisfaction and aspiration in the idea of changing the world. As individuals, we all have different goals and ideas about how we might improve the world. But starting this process of change calls for reflection, resolve, and a planned strategy. So, where should we begin and how?

Change begins within ourselves. Developing an attitude of empathy, compassion, and openness to comprehending the various viewpoints and experiences of others is important. Through developing self-awareness and a dedication to personal development, we establish the basis for significant and enduring transformations in the world.

Additionally, seeking long-term change requires adopting a long-term viewpoint. It will take time, patience, and a determination to overcome obstacles in order to accomplish our goal for a better world. Through unwavering dedication to our objectives and strategic adjustments where necessary, we can overcome obstacles and make substantial strides towards our vision of a more promising future.

In conclusion, a personal commitment to self-awareness, compassion, and growth is the first step on the path to enhancing the world. We have the power to bring about significant change in our communities and beyond by applying our passions, abilities, and resources. We can bring about revolutionary change that has a long-lasting effect on the globe if we work together, show courage, and never give up. Let us embrace the strength of group effort and the conviction that, working together, we can build a world that embodies our greatest goals and hopes as we set out on this journey.

Day of Valor (Araw ng Kagitingan)

The Filipino people hold a great deal of significance attached to Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor. It celebrates the bravery and selflessness of Filipino warriors in World War II and serves as an inspirational example of the nations resilience in the face of tragedy.

During the dark days of World War II, Filipino soldiers stood up for our nation against invading foreigners. Their bravery is acknowledged on Araw ng Kagitingan. These brave men and women, who were frequently surpassed and unprepared, stayed constant in their resolve to defend our country and its citizens, exhibiting incredible bravery in the face of severe hardship.

Araw ng Kagitingan also guarantees that the sacrifices made by Filipino heroes during World War II are never forgotten providing a significant opportunity for reflection and commemoration. It is a solemn time to remember those who gave their lives in defence of our country and to acknowledge the countless acts of bravery and sacrifice that marked this historic point in Philippine history.

To conclude, Araw ng Kagitingan is a day that is very significant because it acknowledges the bravery, sacrifice, and determination of Filipino heroes during World War II. It also serves as an important symbol of the Filipino people's unwavering spirit and the timeless values of patriotism, unity, and remembrance that still inspire us today. Let's recommit to preserving the legacy of our heroes and work towards creating a future deserving of their efforts as we remember them on this special day.

One More Step Forward

Assessing my academic performance from the third quarter, I can say that I'm proud of how far I've come. The third quarter was full of activities, performance tasks, and challenges. The amount of responsibilities was unmanageable, and doubts grew across my ability to keep going, yet I still managed to finish all the things I had to do. I've learned a lot of things that have helped me succeed, but I've also come to appreciate the important lessons I've learned from my failures.

Despite the obstacles we are now facing, I believe that everything is going to get better. There were moments when the journey looked tough and failures felt unavoidable. There were times when it seemed easier to give up to the strong force of unfortunate circumstances and moments of doubt and frustration. Still, I kept on reminding myself of my ultimate goal and the determination that pushed me on my path after every setback.

Moving on, I'm going to seek inspiration for my approaching pursuits based on the mistakes I made this quarter. I want to learn from this experience so that I can be better prepared for such situations in the future. Every challenge you encounter is an opportunity for personal development. Be proud of your ability to take on obstacles head-on.

Are You Ready?

Doing our community-based research was tough because of the hectic schedule and other tasks we needed to do. Ma'am Evelyn grouped us into groups of all whom lived in the same municipality. Our research topic is emergency response and disaster preparedness. Since San Julian, Bantay, Ilocos Sur are prone to flooding, we decided to choose San Julian as the focus of our study.

At first, we don't know what or how we'll start the task. We gathered our ideas together and planned what we're going to do. After planning and organising our thoughts, our leader divided the tasks. Regardless of the limited time, we still managed to get everything done because all of the members listened to everyone's ideas and helped each other to achieve this successful project.

Through this research, I've gained a lot of things, one of which is that by prioritising immediate and effective responses in a barangay, lives can be saved, injuries minimised, and the overall well-being of the affected can be improved. I can say that San Julian is one of the great barangays that is prepared when it comes to natural disasters. Together, we can achieve success.

Memories in Motion: Ilocos Sur National High School's 122nd Foundation Day

As March 9 approaches, Ilocos Sur National High School is very alive. After the long wait because of the pandemic, the actual celebration that everyone had been waiting for finally took place. A lively foot parade that opened the day highlighted the creativity and unity of the students at our school. After the parade, a spectacular field demo with captivating performances from every grade level kept the fun going.

As we performed the Sinulog, the Grade 10 Boys won the CHAMPION title, while the Girls placed third in the field demonstration. As I go on to further things that day, it doesn't make me any less excited or happy. When I saw everyone on the athletic field that time smiling despite the heat, the struggles were all worthwhile.

After the field demo, the Ilocos Sur National High School hosted a concert for a cause. Watching some of my classmates and friends perform on stage made me feel very proud. While listening to the many songs they are playing, I can still clearly recall how my loudest voice came out, especially when they play a song from my favourite bands like Ben & Ben, Eraserheads, and Air Supply.

It is indeed the best high school day ever. I have many memories from this day that I will treasure forever. I call it a day full of satisfaction, amusement, and camaraderie. I look forward to more years of celebrating high school day at Ilocos Sur National High School. Aim High, Fly Soar! Agragsak, ISNHS:))

Lift Her Up

 BABAE KA, HINDI BABAE LANG.

Women's Month is observed worldwide every March to celebrate the accomplishments, contributions, and resilience of women globally. "Babae ka, Hindi Babae Lang” is a potent reminder of the numerous aspects of women's identities and roles that go beyond conventional expectations and stereotypes.

It's an opportunity to take stock of the progress made towards the goal of gender equality and to recommit to tackling the enduring issues that women endure. Women still face barriers that prevent them from fully taking part in society and being empowered, from unequal access to healthcare and education to discrimination and violence based on gender.

Moreover, we celebrate the women who have broken through glass walls, challenged expectations, and paved the path for upcoming generations by celebrating Women's Month. We give respect to the mothers, sisters, friends, and women who have given so much to their families, neighbourhoods, and societies. Women's Month is also an opportunity to raise the voices of women and promote gender equality in all its forms. Now is the moment to hear the stories of women, highlight their accomplishments, and raise awareness of their aspirations for equality, justice, and respect.

To conclude, Women's Month is a movement for change as well as a time to celebrate. This is a time to pay respect to and acknowledge the priceless contributions made by women to our society. Now is the moment to reaffirm gender equality and to create a future in which "Babae ka, Hindi Babae Lang" is a reality for all women, not simply a catchphrase.

The Vibrant World of Estudyantepreneurship

Students, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit come together at the vivid and exciting Estudyantepreneur School Fair. As I went through the lively school fair, I couldn't help but observe the vivid displays at the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE). Students can use the fair as a platform for developing their ideas and bringing them to life, encouraging an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. From gaming booth, snack bars, film viewing, photo booth, and laminating and printing services, the Estudyantepreneur School Fair is a melting pot of creativity.

In addition to inspiring students to consider their business possibilities, the fair encourages cooperation and teamwork. Numerous booths are the outcome of cooperative learning, in which students with various skill levels work together to produce something truly amazing. One of these is the film made by the Grade 8 students of Leeuwenhoek. The students were able to showcase their filmmaking skills despite the short film's time frame.

To sum up, the Estudyantepreneur School Fair is more than merely a gathering; rather, it serves as evidence of the student organisation's potential for entrepreneurship. In each carefully thought-out space, teachers additionally showcased their efforts and gave explanations of their inspiring concepts, which served as motivation. Throughout my visit to the TLE booth, I truly enjoyed engaging in the several interesting activities that the officers and teachers have to offer.

Half? Half!

Looking back on my journey through the second quarter, I can say that it was full of surprises. I've learned a lot of things that have helped me succeed, but I've also come to appreciate the important lessons I've learned from my failures. The second quarter's tasks were quite difficult, and puzzling out tasks and dealing with unfinished business affected my physical and emotional well-being.

Despite the difficulties we are experiencing right now, I believe everything will get better. It is clear that many of us fear the same thing: being afraid of what people think about it and starting to pressurise you to “DO MORE” . But I constantly remind myself to let things happen naturally. Despite the outcome, I find solace in the knowledge that I gave it my all.

Moving on, I'm going to use the mistakes I made this quarter as motivation for my next initiatives. My goal is to gain knowledge from this situation to enhance my capacity for future trials. Every obstacle you face provides a chance for growth as a person. Take pride in your capacity to face challenges head-on.

Within the festival's energetic environment, the historic streets of Vigan come alive with colorful parades and lively street dances. I got to see educators showcased their amazing talents through performances at the Sayaw, Talento at Galing ng Educators (STAGE) Competition. I was able to fully immerse myself in Vigan's dynamic cultural environment due to this experience. In addition, my spirited cheers resonated in support for the participating schools during the marching band competition. Experiencing their victorious triumph filled me with immense happiness. The marching band, adorned in vibrant uniforms and playing lively tunes, showcased exceptional talent and precision.

I couldn't help but reflect about how gorgeous this UNESCO World Heritage City is and how skillfully it has managed to combine tradition into the modern celebration. The lovely food, traditional dances, and genuine hospitality of the residents all contributed to my increased understanding of Vigan's significance.

Bloodless War

Known to be the national hero of the Philippines, Dr. Jose Rizal was crucial in forming the country's identity all through its fight for independence. Rizal, who was born on June 19, 1861, was a polymath as well as a writer, nationalist, and advocate of social changes. His contributions to Philippine society have had a lasting impact.

Dr. Jose Rizal's literary masterpieces were one of his most important achievements. His two works, "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo," were influential in bringing awareness to the injustices and mistreatment that the Filipino people endured under Spanish colonial control. Along with exposing the difficult circumstances that Filipinos endure, these works inspired a sense of nationalism and a yearning for change.

In addition to his literary accomplishments, Rizal's advocacy for education was significant in forming the Philippines' intellectual environment. He thought that education was the path to enlightenment and advancement, and he himself became a prime example of education's transformative potential. Beyond the confines of formal education, Rizal saw a society in which Filipinos were not only literate but also critical intellectuals who challenged the dominant socio-political systems.

Moreover, Rizal's support of peaceful changes distinguished him as a leader. He advocated peaceful resistance and legal changes even as he opposed the excesses of the Spanish government. Many leaders in the fight for Philippine independence have been influenced by his unwavering commitment to pursuing justice and equality without resorting to bloodshed. His example will continue to have a lasting impact on future generations.

To conclude, Jose Rizal's most significant contribution to Philippine society is his representation of Filipino nationalism and his position as a catalyst for change. Through his writings, support of education, dedication to peaceful change, and supreme sacrifice, Rizal came to represent a country fighting for independence. His legacy endures, serving as a constant reminder to Filipinos of the value of education in determining their country's future as well as the never-ending pursuit of justice and freedom.

An healthy mind and body are an essentialo component of success. Small Voices

The human rights of children are a moral obligation which demands our collective consideration, rather than just a set of legal protections. It is our shared responsibility as global citizens to establish an environment that ensures the rights of every child are respected and protected. We support an environment that is not only just and compassionate, but also one in where every child has the ability to make an important contribution to the development of society through putting an emphasis on their security, learning, and general well-being.

No child should encounter discrimination because of their gender, colour, belief systems, or any other characteristic. Instead, they should all have equal opportunity. In addition to that, children also have the right to voice their ideas on issues which affect them, which helps them feel like they have freedom and shapes them into responsible adults. Encouraging their involvement in decision-making processes is crucial for establishing an environment that is more fair.

We can support the efforts and ensure the promotion of children's right by joining advocacy initiatives to raise awareness of children's rights in healthcare. Make use of public events, instructional initiatives, and social media channels to spread the word about the value of children's health rights, particularly the availability of high-quality medical care. You may make an important step to the development of children's welfare and rights by actively taking part in these activities, especially in the field of healthcare. Each effort, regardless of how small, helps to giving children a healthier and more fair future.

New Era?

Dear President Ferdinand Marcos,

The key to overcome such challenges and guiding our country towards prosperity and growth lies in your leadership. I want to highlight the importance of making an intensive attempt to improve the infrastructure of our nation.

Maintaining economic stability is of utmost importance, and I urge your administration to continue with programmes that foster employment generation, draw in investments, and enhance the financial prosperity of every individual. A strong economy improves people's quality of life on an individual basis as well as the general prosperity and stability of the country.

I hope that you could fix the problem related to inflation because of the fact that many people struggle to afford the products that they need due to the rising of costs. The Philippines is now facing numerous obstacles. We sincerely believe you will have an enormous impact.

Sincerely,

     Gianna Faye

Pick it Up, Clean it Up

Making people more aware of the effects of pollution and trash on the environment is one of the main goals of National Clean Up Month. It acts as a call to action, encouraging individuals to consider the effects of inappropriate garbage disposal on their everyday routines and habits. People may gain useful techniques to lessen their ecological footprint and obtain knowledge about more general problems with the environment through planned clean-up events and educational programmes. A major catalyst for environmental awareness and action is National Clean Up Month. It provides individuals an opportunity to come together in the goal of creating a world that is healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable. People can have a positive and long-lasting impact on their surrounding areas and worldwide by taking an active part in clean-up efforts and adopting suitable environmental practises.

Participating in school clean-up activities is important since it promotes a feeling of transparency, improves the learning surroundings, promotes teamwork, raises awareness of environmental issues, and delivers key life skills.

Human health can be negatively impacted by coastal

pollution,in particular areas here people rely on coastal resources for their food and livelihoods. Cleaning up lessens the risk that contaminants could harm nearby communities and get into the food chain.

Making recycling a daily habit inspires individuals to be mindful of the environment by minimising waste, saving resources, and building a more resilient and sustainable future. It is a shared duty that, if accepted worldwide, has the power to change how we interact with the environment going forward.
